Forge WordPress Website Tutorial – Duplicating and Editing a Blog Post

Forge customers have the ability to duplicate and edit blog posts on their WordPress website where a blog is installed. It’s easy!

Simply login as an administrator, and click on ‘Posts’ on the left hand side of the dashboard.  Find the post you’d like to duplicate, then click on ‘duplicate’.  Find the duplicated post, then click ‘Edit’.  Change the title, permalink and text accordingly (see our other WordPress Tutorials on changing general content).  Remove and insert a new ‘Featured Image’ (found on the right hand side of the dashboard).  Click ‘screen options’ at the top right.  Make sure ‘Excerpt’ is enabled as an option, then at the bottom of the page in the ‘Excerpt’ section, change the text to briefly describe what the blog post is about.  Finally, hit ‘Update’ to update the changes on your site.
